General Practitioner Registrar and Students

Our Practice is a training and teaching practice. Our registrars are fully qualified doctors and have a great deal of hospital experience. Registrars are attached to our Practice for their training and become GPs after completing their training. At all times they are overseen by one of the GP partners.

When booking an appointment you may be asked if you would see one of our registrars.

We also have medical students attached to the practice. With the patient’s consent they may sit in with the GP and learn about general practice.

Our Nursing Staff

With their experience and knowledge our nursing team are able to provide a variety of specialist clinics including diabetes, heart disease, asthma, COPD, contraception advice checks, cervical screening and immunisations. They work closely with the doctors for the benefit of your health and run a programme of health promotion clinics.

The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Our Patient Service Team

Grove House Surgery is a Partnership, owned and run by the GP Partners with support from our dedicated and skilled patient services team. Our patient services team are there to help, advise and assist. When you call the surgery, the doctors have directed the patient service team to ask a number of simple questions. The aim of the questioning is not to pry into your condition or the reason for calling the surgery but to ensure that you are seen by the most appropriate healthcare professional which may or may not be a GP.
